Belarus to set up several joint enterprises in Bashkortostan

Belarus will set up several joint enterprises in the Republic of Bashkortostan of the . The plans are envisaged by the agreement signed after a Belarusian delegation led by Architecture and Construction Minister Alexander Seleznev visited Ufa . The visit ended on 1 July. 

The sides have agreed to set up joint ventures in Bashkortostan soon with a view to assembling tractors, loaders, diesel power plants. The sides also plan to implement joint projects for modernising the stock of forage and grain harvesters, to increase supplies of agricultural, road construction and municipal vehicles, electrotechnical products, construction materials to Bashkortostan enterprises. Besides, the possibility of setting up an enterprise in Bashkortostan to manufacture easily assembled homes will be considered. 

The Belarusian delegation included representatives of the companies Neman Glassworks, Baranovichidrev, Mogilevdrev, Newsprint Mill, Domostroenie and others. While in Bashkortostan the delegation held meetings with Bashkortostan President Murtaza Rakhimov, Prime Minister Rail Sarbayev. The Belarusian delegation got familiar with operation practices of several Ufa enterprises and visited the Belarusian historical and cultural centre in the village of Baltika , Iglino region, where Belarusians reside compactly. There Alexander Seleznev awarded commemorative medals to two Belarusians, who had taken part in liberating . Besides, he presented Belarusian language books and textbooks to a local library and a Belarusian school.
