Bobruiskselmash sets up joint venture in St. Petersburg

 The Bobruisk-based farm machinery producer Bobruiskselmash has set up a joint assembly production facility in St. Petersburg, it was learnt from director of the company Alexander Rasin.

The new enterprise will not only assemble agricultural machinery but produce component parts for it. At present, the joint venture produces five agricultural machines including till-plant outfit APPA-6, auto-loader PN-05, trailer STS-12 and others.

“This machinery will be displayed at the Russian agro-industrial exhibition Golden Autumn which will be held in Moscow on 9-13 October. We hope that jointly with our Russian partner we will find new customers and increase the supplies of the Bobruisk farm machinery to the Russian Federation,” Alexander Rasin noted.

According to him, Bobruiskselmash has already set up a joint venture in Tatarstan; two joint ventures more are expected to be set up in Kazakhstan.

In January-September this year, Bobruiskselmash produced farm machinery at the amount of Br16.3 billion, up 20.8% over the same period last year. Over the eight months, the export of the company increased by 33% to $3.9 million.

Bobruiskselmash was founded in 1945. In 2005, it was reorganized into open joint stock company. Bobruiskselmash is one of leading producers of agricultural machinery in Belarus. At present, the company produces more than 20 kinds of agricultural machines: plowing outfits, mowing machines, trailers, semitrailers, loaders and others, consumer goods. The company employs more than 400 professionals.
