AdvertisementsCataloguesNewsUkraine interested in extending industrial cooperation with BelarusUkraine is interested in the expansion of cooperation with Belarus in engineering, energy saving, chemical industry, trade, transport and agriculture, said First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Andrei Kliuyev as met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko on 14 April. Andrei Kliuyev said he is confident that there is huge potential for industrial cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine. The sides have discussed possible prospects of mutual leasing deliveries of machinery. In particular, the sides touched upon the use of the products of NKMZ plant (Ukraine) in the construction of a metallurgical complex in Belarus. The cross-border cooperation was also on the agenda of the talks. Andrei Kliuyev and Vladimir Semashko have agreed on further steps to intensify the bilateral cooperation. Vladimir Semashko is now in Kyiv on a working visit. He is set to take part in the 18th session of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Ukrainian commission for trade and economic cooperation on 15 April. Vladimir Semashko and Andrei Kliuyev are co-chairmen of the commission.
