AdvertisementsCataloguesNewsBelovezhskie Syry increases export by 20% in Q1In January-March 2010, the Belovezhskie Syry Belarusian-Russian joint company exported $3.5 million worth of cheese, up 20% as against the same period of 2009, it was learnt from Anatoly Melnichenko, director of the company. The company boosted the export to the Russian Federation significantly. The company actively cooperates with Moscow, St. Petersburg and Russian regions. The company develops new markets as well. At present Belovezhskie Syry supplies its products to Ukraine, Moldova and Bulgaria. The company exports soft cheeses mainly to the Balkan countries as they are in popular demand there. Recently Belovezhskie Syry has renovated its production facilities to increase supplies to foreign markets. The company modernized a cheese making plant, launched new equipment to produce hard cheese and brynza, construct a new plant to produce soft cheese. In Q1 2010, the company produced Br18 billion worth of cheese, up 40% as against the same period of 2009. Belovezhskie Syry was founded on the base of the Volkovysk Cheese Making Plant in August 2003. The company exports about 70% of the total output.
