AdvertisementsCataloguesNewsBelarus ready for Customs Union common customs territoryIn line with the Agreement on the Common Customs Territory and the Customs Union of 6 October 2007, the Republic of Belarus is ready for the enactment of a full-fledged common customs territory of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, says the press release of the Belarusian Government of 29 May.Belarus is confident that this work can be successfully completed by 1 July 2010 on the basis of the decisions taken previously within the Customs Union. “At the same time Belarus believes that the exceptions from the common customs territory regime, which were proposed by the Customs Union partners, contradict the existing regulations of the Customs Union, do not comply with the international rules and cause damage to the interests of economic entities and citizens of third countries,” reads the press release At the moment, the Belarusian side has not been submitted with the documents that were signed at the meeting between the prime ministers of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan on 28 May 2010. Belarus confirms its aspiration for integration with Russia and Kazakhstan in the context of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space formation. “The Belarusian side will keep working with Russian and Kazakh partners on the speediest formation of the full-fledged Customs Union and the Single Economic Space without any exceptions,” says the press release. www.belta.by Back to "All news" | Print version
