Belarus develops National Export Development Program for 2011-2015

The special interdepartmental commission composed in line with Council of Ministers’ resolution N1247 of 27 August 2010 is developing the National Export Development Program for 2011-2015, BelTA learned from Council of Ministers’ Office.

The interdepartmental commission will identify the development strategy for Belarus’ foreign trade. The commission is led by Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov. It also includes representatives of all the Belarusian ministries, concerns, committees, oblast executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, the National Bank of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of a number of companies including the Minsk Tractor Works, the export-import insurance company Beleximgarant, the Belarus National Center for Marketing and Price Study, Promagroleasing.

The draft national program should be introduced before the Government before 1 December 2010. The Belarus Foreign Minister is the customer of the research aimed at developing the program. The research will be funded at the expense of the national budget.

At present, Belarus is completing the implementation of the National Export Development Program for 2006-2010.
