Lukashenko believes that gas talks with Russia conclude as planned

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko believes that if the ongoing gas talks with Russia conclude as planned, the next year will be good for Belarus. The head of state made this statement as he heard out a report by Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich and Chair of the Board of the National Bank Nadezhda Yermakova on 21 October, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

The head of state asked about the results of the recent international forums in Saint Petersburg where the Belarusian Premier took part. “What impact will the gas supply contract have on the Belarusian economy? The situation seems to be progressing normally over there. If it goes on like that, the next year will be favorable to us,” the Belarusian leader said.
