Belarus' export opportunities presented in Moscow for European countries

A presentation of economic and export potential of Belarus for Europe was held in the business and cultural center of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the diplomatic mission. The event was attended by the Ambassadors of Albania, Luxembourg, Portugal and Montenegro in Russia and in Belarus, Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation in Russia, senior diplomats and heads of trade and economic services of the embassies of Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Russian Federation Igor Petrishenko thanked the representatives of the European countries for the interest in new opportunities to develop a constructive relationship with potential partners. “Belarus has been and remains a member of the common European family and hopes for further expansion of trade, economic and investment interaction with European countries,” said the diplomat. The expo featured Belarus' major brands: BelavtoMAZ, MTZ, Amkodor, Belshina, Mogilevkhimvolokno, Pinskdrev, Svetlogorsk Khimvolokno and others. Other participants included the Foreign Economy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, the National Agency for Investment and Privatization, Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Belarusbank, and the food industry concern Belgospishcheprom. After the presentation representatives of Belarusian organizations and enterprises and their European partners exchanged opinion about the areas of development of mutual cooperation. The diplomats from European countries emphasized the usefulness of organizing such kind of events in Moscow because many European states still have no permanent diplomatic presence in Belarus. It was also noted that such activities contribute to the mutual interest and search for the important practical solutions to deepen cooperation. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to Russia, Zoran Jocovicsaid that the opportunities for economic cooperation between Belarus and Montenegro are far from being exhausted. "At today's meeting, I learned a lot about the economic potential of your country. I am confident that the friendly and trusting relations between our countries will become a good basis for the development of not only political, cultural but also economic ties,” the Montenegrin diplomat said.
